This page explains the cookies and similar technologies we use across MyCopyPal, what they do, and how you can change your choices. If anything is unclear, email us at toni@mycopypal.com.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed to make the site and your account work. Others are optional and only used to measure how the site is used or to credit an affiliate who referred you. We ask before we set any optional cookie.

Your choice

When you first visit, we show a banner asking whether you are happy for us to use optional cookies. Nothing optional is set unless you choose "Accept". You can change your mind at any time: open your cookie settings.

Essential cookies (always on)

These are needed for the site to work, to keep you logged in to the app, and to remember your cookie choice.

• cookie_consent — remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we do not ask you every time. Stored in your browser.
• Login/session cookies — inside the MyCopyPal app (app.mycopypal.com), these keep you signed in. They are set only when you have an account and are logged in.

Analytics (only if you accept)

• Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — privacy-friendly, aggregated measurement built into our hosting. It does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• Google Analytics (GA4) — loads only after you click "Accept". If you accept, it sets a small number of cookies to tell repeat visits apart:
  • _ga — distinguishes visitors. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_<id> — keeps session state for GA4. Expires after 2 years.
  If you reject, Google Analytics is never loaded and these cookies are never set.

Affiliate referral (only if you accept)

MyCopyPal has an affiliate scheme: people can share a link and earn a commission if you sign up through it. When you arrive via an affiliate link, our payment provider Lemon Squeezy sets a cookie so that, if you sign up, the referral can be credited to them.

• Lemon Squeezy affiliate cookie — records which affiliate referred you, for up to 60 days. It only attributes a signup; it does not track your browsing on other websites. This is now loaded only after you accept cookies. If you reject, it is never set.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so for essential cookies may log you out or stop parts of the site working as expected.

Changes to this policy

If we add or change a cookie we will update this page. The date at the top always reflects when it was last updated. For more on how we handle your data, see our privacy policy.
