Frequently asked questions
How does the AI detector work?
Paste your post and it checks it against the words and patterns that give AI away: the filler, the vague scene-setting, the copy-paste reframes. You get a score out of 100 and every tell flagged, each with a quick fix. It all runs in your browser, so nothing you paste is stored or sent anywhere.
What's a good score?
Lower is better. Under 50 reads human. 50 to 75 means the AI fingerprint is showing in a few places and worth a tidy-up. Over 75 and it reads as AI-written, so a rewrite is the fastest fix.
Is it accurate?
It looks for the tells of unedited AI writing, not a guess at which model wrote it. So it's hard to fool with a light edit, and it won't flag a human post for one stray word. It's the same checker MyCopyPal runs on its own posts, which is the point: good writing scores low whether a person or MyCopyPal wrote it.
Will it flag my own writing as AI?
Only if your writing leans on the patterns AI leans on: long filler words, vague openers, the same three-part lists. If it flags something you wrote, that's a sign the line could be sharper, and the fix shows you how.
Is it free?
Yep. Free, unlimited, no sign-up. And if a post needs more than a tidy-up, the free rewriter is one click away.
